The following trophies are played for by all full Women members on an annual basis.

Note:  There will be a course handicap limit of 36 for all Club Trophies, unless otherwise stated in the conditions.

 

Club Championships
All members - Senior, Junior A & Junior B
Qualifying will be over two 18 hole rounds (being the best 2 out of 3 rounds) - eight or sixteen to qualify in each grade, finals over 36 holes.

 

Championship Flights
For Championship qualifiers eliminated in second round of match play.  Flights are non-handicap events under match play conditions.

 

Betty Fraser Championship Plate
Best 16 nett of Championship first round losers in Senior, Junior A & B Club Championships.  If insufficient numbers then only 8 to qualify.  Match play on handicap - final over 18 holes.  Maximum course handicap of 36.

F & F Tolmie Trophy
Best Nett aggregate of Championship qualifying rounds.

 

Edward Cup Knockout
Thursday field play match play using two tees - opponents drawn by disc, the winners list their names and a match play draw will be made.  Matches to be played by the date arranged by the Match Committee.

 

 

MacDonald Cup
Two qualifying rounds for players on course handicap 0 -18.  Sixteen to qualify for match play on handicap.  If all square at the 18th play on taking strokes as at commencement of play.

 

Jory Trophy
Four course handicaps 19-36.  Two qualifying rounds played in conjuction with MacDonald Cup.  Reduction in handicap on these days do not qualify for the MacDonald Cup.  Sixteen to qualify and to play match play on handicap.  If all square at the 18th play on taking strokes as at commencement of play.

 

Ladies Cup
Two qualifying rounds to be played.  Eight to qualify for match play over 18 holes.  If all square at the 18th play on taking strokes as at commencement of play.

 

Simpson Cup
Two qualifying rounds to be played on the first two Extra LGU rounds.  Sixteen to qualify for match play over 18 holes.  If all square at the 18th play on taking strokes as at commencement of play.

 

Foursome Rosebowl
Choose own partners, match play over 18 holes.  Eight seeds for 32 or more entries - four if under 32.  In the event of a tie at the 18th play until one pair wins a hole taking strokes as at commencement of play.

 

Four Ball Best Ball
Choose own partners, match play over 18 holes.  Eight seeds for 32 or more entries - four if under 32.  In the event of a tie at the 18th play until one pair wins a hole taking strokes as at commencement of play.

 

Nancy Edwards Challenge Cup
Silver and Bronze Par competitions - best 3 out of 4 rounds played in the months stipulated by the Committee.  Three rounds must be in the same grade.

 

Ruth Turner Cup
Saturday players only - best 3 out of 4 nett scores on Extra LGU

 

Ladies Mid-Week Cup
Mid-week players only - best 3 out of 4 nett scores for Extra LGU

 

Hegan Trophy
Best gross of Members' Tournament

 

Venning Salver
Best nett in Members' Tournament.  If a tie, the winner to be decided by countback.

 

George Mehrtens Memorial Plate
Best score on stipulated day.  If a tie, decided on coutback.

 

Stableford - Silver, Bronze 1 & Bronze 2
Best three scores of the season (3 grades)

 

Milne Trophy
Ringers to be taken by mid-week players on Thursday and by weekend players on Saturdays only - best 18 hole nett score over all grades.

 

Gross Ringers - Silver & Bronze
Best 18 hole gross score during the season

 

Putting Competition
Two grades - Silver & Bronze played April, June, August & September.  Best 3 out of 4 rounds.

 

LGU Medals
Silver, Bronze 1 & Bronze 2 - as per NZ Golf conditions

 

Vallance Trophy
Best nett played on stipulated days during June, July, August & September.  Best 3 out of 4 rounds - one grade

 

Joan Hill's Trophy
Best 16 nett to qualify on stipulated days - four rounds for eventual winner.  If a tie, to be decided by countback.

 

Business Ladies Challenge Cup
Saturday players only.  Knockout competition, match play on handicap over 18 holes.  If all square at 18th, play on taking strokes as at commencement of play.

 

Championship Salvers
Silver & Bronze - Women's 0-33.8 handicap index Open Tournament.  In the event of a tie, the winner shall be decided by sudden death play off, or in adverse weather cnditions, on a countback.

 

Nancy McCormick Foursomes (NZ Golf Home Links)
Choose own partners - best nett played over 36 holes under conditions as published by NZ Golf.  In the event of a tie, the winners will be decided on countback.
