Handicapping
Handicapping in automatic, based on all cards returned.
Handicaps are reviewed fortnightly with revised handicap lists being posted every second Thursday morning.
Players are required to return a score for handicapping purposes every time they play a round of golf either at their home course or away. Scores must be returned for both stroke play and match play rounds, provided a minimum of 13 holes are completed.
Cards should be left at the course where the round is played.
Scoring Records:
Scores made in a new playing year shall be added to those of the previous playing seasons to make up a scoring record, ie scoring records shall be maintained continuously from year to year.
Allocation of NZ Handicap Index:
The maximum Handicap Index for 18 hole men is 36.4 and women 48.4.
To obtain a Handicap Index, a player must submit at least 5 cards. The hole score of these cards shall be adjusted by the handicapper, treating any score of more than 3 over par, as 3 over par.
